I was expecting the article to show an important announcement about this new technology in about a week, next Wednesday to be precise... But then the article went on about heating the pellets to create what replaces the carbon in a regular battery and I see that they found that packing peanuts can be used to create one of the two electrodes so that you can make batteries from them. I expect that you won't be making batteries at home any time soon, so I suggest to use packing peanuts for their intended purpose to ship stuff safely and if you don't need them then you can post an ad for them so someone else can put them to use instead of adding to the landfill...
