Better..._for_what_purpose?_ A Tesla would be pretty useless for hauling a ton of manure to the back 40. Probably not so great at towing a yacht to the lake. Definitely sucks for taking the marching band to Disneyland. Likely the last vehicle you'd want to drive through Somalia regardless of what you were making the drive for. Probably get you killed trying to drive all the way across Siberia in the winter. Teslas are very good at being four-door luxury passenger vehicles. But there're lots of settings where the very things that make them so good at that make them awful for other purposes. Personally...the whole automatic over-the-air update thing, neat as it is and as much as so many people love it...well, it alone would be close to a deal-breaker for me. Maybe it's irrational paranoia on my part, but I want to own and be in control of my car, not some faceless lawyer telling some schmuck of a coder what to do to the car. And, really. It's a car. An horseless carriage. Its job isn't to entertain me, to pamper me; it's to get me from here to there. ...and that's long before we get into the whole Big Brother thing.... b& -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
