No, he hasn't. If it seems that way to the reporter, it's because his or her education is least as inadequate as the student's. (Presumably Oyeyiola isn't majoring in science.) And I doubt that he'll outsmart many of the investors he's trolling for, either. If you check the Youtube page you'll see that he uploaded the video clip in 2009, so he's been flogging this same idea for almost a half-dozen years now. This is the usual generator on a wheel perpetual motion concept using wind machines instead. The solar panel is a bit of a twist, but it's unlikely that it'll contribute enough energy to even offset the amount of energy wasted by the turbines, much less to actually add any range. The website involved here, "Small Business Trends," doesn't seem shady. Shame on their editors for letting this rubbish story run.
