PS -- It's an intriguing coincidence that another Mercury Messenger was in 
the news this spring.  I doubt that yours will manage as much range, but I 
expect it'll have a somewhat less spectacular denouement.  ;-)

The article says the owner is "planning to source a 4.6-liter modular V-8 
and six-speed automatic transmission to make it a running and driveable 
car," then that "he´s since decided to keep the concept car electrified."  I 
wonder what changed his mind, and whether a 120 volt DC drive will satisfy 
someone who originally considered a big V8.
