PS -- It's an intriguing coincidence that another Mercury Messenger was in the news this spring. I doubt that yours will manage as much range, but I expect it'll have a somewhat less spectacular denouement. ;-)

I wonder what changed his mind, and whether a 120 volt DC drive will satisfy someone who originally considered a big V8.
