Here's an email that John Wayland just posted on the NEDRA group - Hello to All, It's a bit late to post as it's nearly September, but the Zombie 222 is on the cover and is the featured story in the August issue of Mustang Monthly. It's a pretty big deal that an electric Mustang displaced a gas Mustang for the cover shot and main story!
And now this from last night at San Antonio Raceway: Zombie 222 - aka Black Zombie, ran the 1/4 mile in 9.89 @ 140.67 mph! All steel factory bodied 68 Mustang, factory window glass, upgraded full Interior - absolutely no lightening tricks, and curb weight of 3300 lbs. Derek Barger 17.8 kW/h LiPol pack, twin Netgain 11 inchers & twin Zillas (of course). DOT drag radials, 3.0 gears & 2 Gear Vendors OD units. See Ya...
