S-10 air dam, J1772 inlet behind flip up license plate
]

I think you did a great job.
Perhaps later you may want to add some protection to those bumper mounted
inlets.

With my S-10 Blazer EV power inlets mounted in the grill [

] instead of the bumper (as you did), I had less worries if someone stopped
too quickly in front of me, or some yo-yo backed into me when parking, etc.

That bumper protection does not need to be the gaudy types law enforcement
use, see

A search found some items to draw ideas from:

Another approach would be to use a license plate protector, see
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bumper-Protector-Front-Car-Guard-License-Plate-Frame-Holder-Black-Rubber-Thick-/151848063451?hash=item235ad991db:g:FVIAAOSw5VFWHZCS&vxp=mtr&autorefresh=true

I also found something you may (or may not) want to use that is for a Smart
car, see
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Silver-Front-or-Rear-Bumper-Protector-Spikes-Guards-Protectors-For-Smart-Car-/191620712124?hash=item2c9d7c06bc:g:OBEAAOSw-vlVoz5S&vxp=mtr

One of that ad's images
http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/~YYAAOSw3ydVoz5c/s-l400.jpg
only shows two of these bumper spikes being used, which IMO where they are
mounted seems rather useless/not enough protection for your inlets if you
got bumped.

Of course you could let your inner Goth out and put several of these on your
bumper making it look like its wearing a spiky dog collar, see

My personal choice would be to put a protective pad on either side of your
license plate inlet assembly. You would minimize the look, yet have some
protection for life's little bumps and owies.
