Obviously, plugging your charging station into a (pool) timer will also
allow you to choose how much charge is put back in before the timer cuts
off the charging...
I used to have a timer that normally delivers power from midnight to
7AM, which were the "low tariff" hours on my TOU metering. At this
moment I am again at a flat rate, though I have a timer sitting on my
work bench to install when I hook up my L2 charging station (I am still
using exclusively L1 now)

I have no knowledge. But what I do for my EV, is I only charge with L1
and
so I know that I get about 4 miles range per hour of charge.

So when I have only used up today's 32 miles round trip to work, I plug
it
in at 11 PM and it will be full when I leave at 7AM the next morning.

If I want to get to 80%, then I can wait till it gets down to about 40
miles
usage before plugging it in at 11 PM and then I will be near 80% by
morning.

Something like that.

With L2 it would ALWAYS be full past 100% if I left it overnight. So I
don't.
