Great post, Bruce. I might carry this further, and point out that when big companies cannot control something, they act to crush it.

Resistance to EVs is *not* futile. The automakers have already succeeded for decades!

There is no question that they have been working hard to gain control of the situation. There are plenty of examples of them buying out key competitors and shutting them down, or buying the rights to key technologies and then burying it.
