That's why I just charge at home off sunshine and that on road charging is 35c or more per KWh. Taking long trips in EVs doesn't make any sense financially. I drive my 50mpg Prius on trips - much less fuss and cheaper per mile and less than buying a big battery 60kwh Bolt with a $15k battery replacement cost. I have a Spark 19kwh and Leaf 24kwh with $5k battery replacement cost. Have a renewable energy Christmas Mark in Roanoke VA
