Cor, if you make this determination, please post. Especially the DC voltage range.

I now recall that I have an old EMW charger, 10 or 12 kw, that is supposed to operate on DC as well as AC.

If someone were bent on hacking a SuperCharger, running an onboard charger on DC might be the simplest thing to do. Of course, that would likely limit charge power to 10-15kw.

If anyone is interested, I am diddling with several lash ups to allow low power Tesla charging from motel unit type heat/AC outlets. Since distances are likely to be great, I'm attracted to using standard extension cords adapted to 240vac connections.
