This is false.

A hydrogen fuel cell vehicle *is* electric. Every bit of it.

The article correctly states that the vehicle is electric drive.

The only difference is where you *store* the energy. It stores it in both a 
battery and the hydrogen (so yes, it’s a hybrid), and there is no combustion.

As far as fossil-derived, the amount of hydrogen for transportation derived 
from fossil fuels has been *less* than that of the grid, at least here in 
California. 

So is it fair to say that battery electrics are not EVs because the electricity 
comes from fossil fuels? That’s preposterous.
