Thanks for the suggestions. I am not really looking to replace my (relatively) new internal-combustion vehicle. This would be for commuting only and replace the motorcycle and scooter I used previously. Yes the ZEV vehicles can get that expensive but you listed the most expensive versions of each. For instance the LRC-6 I am considering has a MSRP of only $9,100. The S-7100? $8,275. The T-6100? $8,190.
I am looking to spend no more than $9k. Any more than that means I may as well go directly to 4 wheels. Which was not my intention at this time. Due to back issues I really need an upright position and most of these electric "motorcycles" are sports-bike emulating bent-forward back destroyers. Which is two strikes against the first eBay listing. The position and the fact that it appears this is NOT DOT approved for on-street use. I cannot title, license and insure the vehicle. Common problem with cheap direct-from-China imports. While I would be paying a lot more for the ZEV they are vehicles that can be used on-street legally. Glancing through the rest it appears to be more cars and vaporware e-motorcycles? I am not quite sure where that was going.
