He co-founded the company with Martin Eberhard, with a $30 million investment [ https://www.britannica.com/biography/Martin-Eberhard-and-Marc-Tarpenning ] from current CEO Elon Musk, who also founded SpaceX [ https://www.spacex.com/ ]. Tesla’s cars are made at its Fremont, California, factory. Tesla also manufacturers solar panels and battery systems for homes and businesses.
