I don't entirely understand who "us" is. The EVDL has never been hosted by Yahoo Groups. At one time we had an unofficial archive there, but that pseudo-group vanished several years ago. Maybe you're thinking of the special interest EV communities that are still using Yahoo Groups. But none of them should be very surprised by this, since Yahoo has been increasingly unstable for years. In general, if some large corporation stores information for you "for free," you have no real control over it, and you can't count on it to remain available.
