I would agree with you about the continuing relevance of this list. I remain interested and enthused over the many great DIY projects by people on this list. I have referred others to it.
As far as Bruce’s posts, I wish him luck. I’ve usually found the posts interesting and useful, and even passed some onto key decision-makers that I’ve worked with where relevant. That being said, I’ve noticed over time, that the signal to noise ratio of those posts have significantly declined, even with the increased activity in the field. That, coupled with a tendency to misstate or mischaracterize the actual content of the articles posted, have sent me to other places to keep up to date on news.
