The 3/Y and S/X cars with MCU2 has an FM Tuner made by Harman, and it's very buggy. That's the most likely issue. I have way less issues when using streaming. You might be able to find your favorite NPR shows via streaming, which is cool because you can resume where you left off. Look under the "Tune-In" tab, then under "Talk" and also "Podcasts".
