Tim, You can now rent EVs to Turo, a car owner's rental service with insurance around the states. A couple months ago I rented a Fiat 500e for a one-day business trip in Southern California and it cost less for car and fuel than a gas car. I have rented a variety of EVs in the SF Bay Area years ago when I was trying to decide what to replace my Leaf with. Can find a lot of charging stations using Plugshare. Lots of options for travel even outside of California. Thanks,Ed
