Thanks !
If you, or anyone, ever has the opportunity to do the same kind of trip
in 35F ambient temperature, that would also be a good data point.
I've read that the Bolt is mediocre, in terms of maintaining range in
cold weather. But real world data is always better than the usual
subjective "analysis."

It was about 250 miles of relatively level freeway (I680 east of San Jose, CA
and US101 south of San Jose, CA) at 65mph using cruise control. The
temperature that day went up to 80F, so I imagine the average for the drive was
in the mid seventies. I set the climate control to automatically keep the cabin
temperature at 71 degrees.

Ed, that's a nice metric. Do you know the ambient temperature and your

I never got the software recall done on my 2017 Bolt. Instead I just used
hilltop reserve mode. I had the battery replacement done last August.
I don’t know what my range was before I had the replacement because I usually
only drive less than 50 miles. After getting the replacement, I did take it for
a 253 mile drive using 59.3 kWh.
How often do you drive 200 miles that you noticed the range dropped from 260
to 200 miles?

Hi folks
The Chevy stealership (Shelor Chevy in Christiansburg) called me last month
and said they’re fixing the battery recall on my 2020 Chevy Bolt with a
software download and to bring it in. I was skeptical since I know the history
of their battery cell issues.
Has anyone heard of this? I told him to call me when they get a physical
battery in for replacement (range has dropped from 260-200miles). Luckily my
Tesla Y is still at 325 miles after 55K miles. The Bolt has 42K miles on it
and the 13’ Leaf 41K
