Does lockup on startx exit from TDE or IceWM with G84 and G98 PCIe GeForce.
Power switch or reset button required to regain keyboard response.
Using TDM greeter instead of startx returns normally to greeter on session exit.

Are any of those uninstalled lib packages required for nouveau to work for Xorg?
Do I go ahead and file a bug on BOO? I searched past 48 months and didn't find
any match, open or closed, except for the above 866445 "fixed".

It also happens on nvidia chips using the modeset driver built into Xorg instead of nouveau.

I filed https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=974660 with bisect as best I could placing blame on udev and/or systemd last month (210-43.1; comment 7).
