Hi Jake,

I have learned my strategic work at Dalar International with by Birgitt
Williams and Rachel Bolton.

What I have learned is to help create an operation matrix for the
organization as the basis for implementing a strategy.

In the operating matrix the organization is described through the lenses of
the Medicine Wheel Tool, the strategic themes, and the strategic map -
including internal processes, capacity requirements, finances and time
layer and of course the value to the costumer. Which is the whole purpose
of the strategy in many organizations.

To create the operating matrix you will often use OST and also for
supporting the strategic themes.

With one of my clients they also now work with OKRs and have collaboration
meetings twice a year and alignment meetings every quarter. For the
alignment meetings they use Whole Person Process facilitated meetings -
more focused on specific OKR learning, input and data collection while the
OST meetings have more room for collaboration either round one specific
objective or another theme.

I can highly recommend learning how to help your organization become
strategy focused with Birgitt and Rachel. Based on my learning I create
value for my customers - in complex, ever changing, and multinational
contexts. While being inspired by genuine connections all along.

And I don’t know how it is for you and your clients- figuring out a
meaningful strategy together can be quite intense work. Therefore it’s
powerful when it’s done well and everyone can contribute where their
experience and expertise lies.

Greetings from Berlin

Anna Caroline
