I have another theory of intelligence, which is that kids are intelligent (= can change their mind and learn), and adults are stupid (= can no more change their minds).

The best defense against becoming stuck with a wrong opinion is don't make up your mind in the first place. However, this means accepting the burden of acting under uncertainty.
