One might. As I said, this has been dealt with extensively in fiction, to
take a random example in the last chapter of "A history of the world in 10
1/2 chapters". Geneally the problem is boredom, something that doesn't come
up with reincarnation - or being absorbed into the overmind, I imagine.

It's all very well to say one might prefer oblivion to eternal life in the
abstract, but like most people I wouldn't be too happy if someone pointed a
gun at me and said "prepare to die!"
