Isn't that the sort of thing religious people often say? They try to use their language applied to science.

"You believe in evolution, I believe in the Bible. What's the difference?"

The bible explains better (if we assume it is correct) consciousness and the existence of the holy land.

Evolution explains better the length of the neck of the giraffe.

Evolution is also clearer, and easier to test.

But computationalism illustrates that the account of consciousness can be partially tested.

Evolution and bible are different theories, and both contains assumptions not yet tested, or very vague. Evolution is also a theory of a local historical phenomenon, but the bibles are more like a TOE, and as such are refuted when interpret literally. Evolution use computationalism, but often assumes (implicitly) a substantial universe, but we know (?) that this does not work.

Of course, some people believe that evolution is opposed to the bible, but this concerns only the minority of american creationist. I have not met one christian who does not also believe in evolution. For them the bible talk on something different than evolution, and your question became like: 'I believe in agriculture and you believe in fishing, what's the difference?".
