Versions of a person separated in space and time consider that they
are the same person, but if things could be arranged so that they met
each other they would not feel they are the same person at all. So I
would say the whole idea of personal identity is illusory. The
illusion can be maintained more easily if there is no duplication, but
it's still an illusion.
