Not necessarily. If the universe started off finite but then expanded, not
infinitely fast just faster than light and just for a short time (as in
inflation), then the universe would be open regardless of how many degrees
the angles of a triangle add up to because spatial curvature and spacetime
curvature are not the same thing.
