Well, Louie is your guy (locally speaking) and his comment though, unrealistic, has been asked by a few planetary scientists (What if we could move the earth?), and the proposal for using aerosols to promote global cooling is well-known, so its never so far fetched for us science followers. He was idiotic to ask the US Forrest Service, I would've proposed the question to NASA. The riot at the Capitol smells to me like the Nazis using the mentally handicapped guy for the Reichstag Fire. Word has it that the FBI had infiltrated both the protestors and Antifa well beforehand because it was easy. The greatest threat that day was as in every riot zone, arson. That the protestors were let in that day, by the Cap police, shows some planning behind the madness. Same with the city riots during 2020. They were permitted, so as, to "let off steam," and to oppose their own "troops" was not in DNC interests either. To topple the government successfully you'd have needed a Trump refusal to leave office, and a call to arms, a real one, by Orange Man. You still have not produced a convincing line of events to explain Trumps success in 2016 or his failure in 2020? For me, I would've said, had I remained a democrat, that "yeah, his personality got to people," "they didn't like living in plague-ville and took it out on him," and Joe seemed nicer and promised "free stuff," and who doesn't like free stuff?

No. If they are in the right place at the right time one tenth that number would be more than sufficient to have a successful coup d'état, and the Capitol Building in Washington DC on January 6, 2021 was just such a time and place. And It is no coincidence that is when and where Donald Trump chose to give the most inflammatory speech of his life and whip a mob into a frenzy and order them to march on the Capitol Building. And it almost worked, if the capital police had been a few minutes slower Trump's thugs could have not only stopped the certification for the next President they could have held the entire US house of representatives, the entire US Senate, and the Vice President of the United States hostage. Or they could've decided to just hang them all. They were all terrified, even being a Republican fascist dimwit was no guarantee of safety from a mob filled with adrenaline and bloodlust. Remember U.S. Rep. Andrew Clyde who claimed the mob was just acting like respectful tourists, well that certainly wasn't the way he felt on January 6! There are pictures of him frantically piling up furniture to block a doorway in an attempt to stop the rampaging mob from getting their hands on him. A Republican congressman who denied there was an insurrection and likened Capitol rioters to tourists was photographed barricading the chamber doors against them > If you are correct about Trump's low level of intelligence, then in history, > the man stumbled into the US presidency and then stumbled back out. Now > that would be some anomaly! To refute your contention that it takes intelligence to gain political power in the US I need only point to US congressman Louie Gohmert, the only man in Washington even stupider than Trump.
