When I studied QM, wf's were solutions of specific differential equations, such as S's equation. But S's equation is non-relativistic since it uses classical energy, and hence the energy operator derived from classical physics. So what differential equation exists from which we can solve to find something remotely approximating a universal wave function? Dirac's equation? Or do we just pull it out of the proverbial hat and move on? AG
