Hi there, I like evince, I've used it on ubuntu for some time. I just installed the latest evince version for Windows. There is some problem in the default window position. The window opened ex-centered to the right, with the right-bottom corner slightly outside of the screen. It looks like a bug.
I don't have the bug on ubuntu, but I do have problems setting the default window settings there too. So my next and most important question is cross-platform: I would like to amend the default settings to have the window maximized. I don't want to have to click every time to maximize it. I don't care for document-specific settings, but I do care for the default settings to be applied to all the documents. My needs are incredibly minimal. How can I set and save the settings? Thanks for your help. I have located the ev-metadata.xml with the following settings. Anything there I can modify to get pdfs to open maximized? <?xml version="1.0"?> <metadata> <document uri="last-used-value" atime="1349301960"> <entry key="window_x" type="gchararray" value="0"/> <entry key="window_y" type="gchararray" value="22"/> <entry key="window_height" type="gchararray" value="716"/> <entry key="page" type="gchararray" value="0"/> <entry key="sidebar_page" type="gchararray" value="thumbnails"/> <entry key="window_width" type="gchararray" value="1366"/> <entry key="window_maximized" type="gchararray" value="1"/> <entry key="show_toolbar" type="gchararray" value="0"/> <entry key="sizing_mode" type="gchararray" value="fit-width"/> <entry key="zoom" type="gchararray" value="0.74915916091813839"/> <entry key="dual-page" type="gchararray" value="1"/> <entry key="inverted-colors" type="gchararray" value="0"/> </document> </metadata>
