Yeah thats what i meant.  We dont need it till we start on gnome2 port.

Yeah.  Sorry Colin, we're not doing this to piss you off ...

It would be my hope that the gnome 2 porting stage would be as quick as
possible - and no new features would help this.  Then we can get back to
the meat of scratching out the next versions' feature set.
