Yes right, there was a bug on it and it is fixed now, http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=306673. To override the bug you can give the filename with the extenstion in the entry. With the fix entering the filename without extension would work properly. I have attached the reviewed patch with the bug.
