My concern is not so much which message is selected (though I would prefer last selected message*) so much as that a message, not the folder, receive the keyboard focus. *The reason I prefer "last selected" is that I may be checking something in another folder in reference to the selected message. Once I get the info I need from that other folder, I want to go back to the message I was reading.
