Evolution V 2.2.8.1 (I cant document however it most likely was not a problem in older versions.)
I have been using backup and restore to transfer all evolution data from one CPU in one location to another CPU in another location and it has worked fine. However now when I backup Evolution on CPU 1 (to a portable Hard Drive or a flash drive) and do a restore to CPU 2, I receive an error message: "Invalid backup file--- Please select a valid backup file" The file saved is self labeled: evolution-backup.tar.gz That is the file that I used to use for a restore on the other CPU. Has there been a change and if so how do I do this now or can someone tell me what I am doing in error? I just trier to backup and restore from Evolution on my netbook and restore to the same netbook and received the same error message! For what it is worth: The user guide 1.3.1 line 2. states to select the evolution-backup file desired "evolution-backup.tar.gz" and click "save", this is an error as "open" or cancel are the only choices. I do have the "backup and restore" plugin enabled. _______________________________________________ Evolution-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list
