you forgot to mention version of Evolution you use. Nonetheless, I
believe the problem is that you updated WebKitGTK+ (depending on your
distro it can be webkit2gtk3, libwebkit2gtk or any other package name)
to version 2.26.x, which introduces this behavior. If it's so, then
it's this bug:

Long story short, upcoming Evolution 3.34.2 (to be released tomorrow)
contains a change from the above bug report, which does workaround the
problem for the new WebKitGTK+.
