To both Guenther and Matthew, I used apt to install Evolution 1.3.92 from the usr-local-bin site on my repository list. Calendar - I did not try changing the pane size and perhaps that was the only issue. I can not test it now as I reverted back to 1.2.4. A Calendar page sizing issue would explain why appointments were still visible in the Summary page but not on the Calendar page. The "add a task" section which is normally small was all that was visible on the Calendar page. Contacts (categories) - in 1.3.92 the original default category list was all that was visible. I did add one of my categories to the 1.3.92 list and it did work for the contacts. As per Guenther's comment I could have deleted all the default categories and re-added mine. I really think the update should have retained my categories rather than using the default. BTW the categories were still there. When I removed 1.3.92 and re-installed 1.2.4 all of my categories were still there and the default categories were not shown. So Evo 1.3.92 did not overwrite or lose my categories it just ignored them. Contacts (web pages) - almost exactly as described by Matthew. I think this is a 1.3.92 contact editor viewing issue, because once again when I reverted back to 1.2.4 the web pages that were originally in my contact list showed up, even though they appeared to not exist in 1.3.92. Email (delete key) - while it works for both of you, it did not work here. If I viewed a message and then clicked on delete, the message I was viewing would become blank and the next message would not appear. When I say blank, I mean that the I had a window frame only and all the inside of the window frame was blank (white). Waiting for a couple of minutes did not help. The message I had deleted was deleted but the next message never appeared. Closing the blank window I could still use the other navigation keys ( ] [ . or , ) to view the various emails, but I could not delete and view the next message with a single key stroke. Based on your respective comments and my very limited experience I would offer the following comments: Calendar - probably just a sizing issue on my setup Contacts - I suspect that the contact editor for all of us does not properly use the information that is available. Matthew could not get 1.3.92 to show the web pages, Guenther appeared to lose his categories, and I had both of these issues except that upon return to 1.2.4 all the data was still there. Email (delete key) - works for both of you and not for me ? ? ? Hopefully on the next re-install attempt it will work for me. This was actually the issue that made me revert back to 1.2.4. The other issues I could have temporarily worked around in order to get the nice new 1.3.92, but I probably delete 200 - 300 emails a day and without a single step method this is too onerous.
