The syntax for constructing expressions isn't at all daunting. If you
know that you need a flexible boolean query then getting your mind
wrapped around the syntax should be easy enough. I'd nevertheless love
to see a full GUI boolean query builder with support for nested
expressions and such in Evo. Maybe as a 3rd party plugin for 2.0?

At any rate, Dan's suggestion to look at the <code> sections in
${prefix}/share/evolution/1.4/vfoldertypes.xml is about all one needs to
get started.

Cheers,
Jason.
