Lead the strategy and implementation for the data architecture components of the solution by taking into account the business case, objectives, requirements, and constraints. . Produce the detailed Data Architecture framework within which Data Model Designs (conceptual, logical, and physical) will be developed. . Determine how to best implement specific Data Architecture best practices with each client's specific environment and requirements. . Develop technical, structural and organizational designs and specifications . Analyze data needs and requirements . Analyze legacy applications to identify and document complex business and technical requirements to solve customer business needs in a cost effective manner . Responsible for reporting status of technical design deliverables and issues to Project Manager . Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs . Analyze legacy applications to understand current data and database structure . Data architecture and data management include data analysis and design, master data management, reference data management, database administration and legacy data integration . Review and evaluate unstructured data and advise developers and users on how to make this data efficiently available . Define and document business processes, information flow from origination to archive, key data elements and system of record and all data architecture artifacts as needed . Designs databases for recovery, high availability, performance and maintenance and monitors the standards, procedures, integrity and integration of data Required Skills and Experience . Possess and practice a consistent attention to detail . Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts . Strong conceptual, logical and physical data modeling and data architecture experience . Strong problem solver with ability to evaluate a challenge and understand solution patterns . Ability to work in a team environment with technical and business leadership . Overall high degree of professionalism . Experience with Entity Relationship Diagrams and data modeling tools. . Knowledgeable about security in the data environment, capacity planning, performance tuning, and database administration, among others. . Understand the differences in normalized and de-normalized environment and the implications to Operational Data Stores and Data Warehousing. . Proficient in logical and physical data modeling . Capable of developing a data strategy and associated policies . Ability to analyze and select systems to meet business information needs. . Experience with enterprise application integration. . Experience in data dictionaries and data warehousing. . Experience working with high volume transactional databases. . 5+ Years of experience as a Data Architect .
