Not so far. I'm using excel 2003 SP3. 

Hmm sort dialog ? I just use a sort button on the toolbar..
Aha, found the button, BUT now I can't keep the thing turned on. I toggle it
for a header row, and hit ok, come back, and it's sprung back to no header.

I finally found the actual help. One whole sentence, but it doesn't say how to
tell things there's a PERMANENT header.
