That was just part of the problem. The header row toggle wouldn't stay selected disabling the sort buttons on the toolbar to protect the header row.. I fixed it mostly by accident. Came back from the store the other day. $20.00 discrepancy in the totals. So I created a sort of checklist column with no frills in column O. Only data I needed to enter was a checkmark that I had bought the items. Using an 'X' in rows O2-O6? to tell me I had bought the items. But I left the header row O1 blank and filled in the rest of column O with x's on those items I actually had. Saved the work sheet, and didn't give it a 2nd thought till I went shopping the other day and had to repeat the process, finding I could no longer sort column A without hitting the header row, and dropping the entire header row below the ice cream. The accidental fix.. I no longer had a need for column O, so I just deleted it. And everything went back to normal.
