Hi dear Sonal,

You can refer to Help on VLOOKUP (or COUNTIF whichever is easy!)
function in excel (excel as I feel has got excellent help file)

I would put the required formula in your attachment and upload it back
but I do not see the "Attach" option here!
I had asked for help but no one seems to know why!

Let me just try to explain the formula

=VLOOKUP( <what u want to search>, <where u want to search>, <which
column in the lookup table you want as the result>, <exact or
approximate match required {True/False}>)

=COUNTIF(<range>,<Search value>)  will give you the count of search
term in the range. returns zero if its not found
