Hello.

I use an POP (Imail) server as a virus and spam filter gateway. That
is, that I have a POP server on the outside of my firewall and an
Exchange 2000 server on the inside. The outside POP (Imail) provides
virus and spam filtering. And after filtering, the mail is forwarded to
the matching account on the Exchange server.

I want to block all connections to my Exchange server except from the
POP (Imail) server. Would this be done on the SMTP virtual server under
the SMTP protocol or on the SMTP Connector? Is this a good or bad idea?

I still need to be able to deliver Internet mail outbound from the
Exchange server.

Thank you.

Sam
