Setup a new virtual website for mail.domain.com on the same server and do a permanent redirection to your default website using https. Set the security requirement at the root of your default web site. Make sure you clear the mail.domain.com host header record from the default website. Don't worry about traffic going to the other website when you're using SSL. With SSL, host header records are not checked. It's all IP address and port number.

After I click Yes, I have to authenticate again (but I do get in using a secure connection). The bottom line is that I need to take connection requests to http://mail.domain.com and redirect them to https://mail.domain.com/exchange. Whats the best way to go about doing this? I should note that manually connecting to https://mail.domain.com/exchange works fine. Also, this is Exchange 2003 on Windows 2003.
