You wouldn't happen to be using Scanmail 3.82 would you?  

I noticed _exactly_ the same thing happening with large(ish) messages (some
but not all).

Trick is to disable outbound scanning on the IMC realtime scanning
properties for Scanmail.

I still need to log this with Trend, whatever's doing it, it doesn't seem
have any problems with inbound messages.
