I would suspect spam to redundant or non-existent users in your domain from
non-exitent domains, resulting in such a queue.
Do a whois on the domains in question, and I betcha they do not exist

http://www.geektools.com/whois.php

As to how to limit the duration, I don't know e2k3

I do use https so using a different IP address will probably be my best
choice.

Thanks
Jim

BTW, Any thoughts on problem 1?

I think host headers is your friend
http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/webtech/080200-1.shtml

but read this first if you use https

>>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 24/02/2004 3:54:42 p.m. >>>

After some more searching I've found part of the answer to my problem 2.
I've yet to test it but it seems to be it.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;293386

But I'd really like to have simple names for OWA for each domain like;

Mail.Domain1.com
Mail.Domain2.com
Mail.Domain3.com

But the article speaks of Virtual directories so I'd end up with
something silly like

Mail.Domain1.com\Domain2
Or
Mail.Domain1.com\Domain3

Anyway to get an "A Record" to point to a OWA virtual directory? Or am
I approaching the multi domain E2k3 server the wrong way.

Thanks
Jim

Subject: [Exchange2003] NDR's

I just installed my first E2k3 server and since I was the one who did it
I decided to pay attention to it. Foolish thing to do, But....

Problem 1
I've discovered that my new server insists on sending what I assume are
NDRs (since I haven't figured out how to read the messages in the queues
yet.) to the tune of about 500 a day. Every message in the Queue is
from PostMaster to various domains. And they tend to stay around a long
time.

Is there anyway to see the content of these messages to confirm what
type of NDRs they are and can I configure E2k3 to dump the NDRs quicker
since they're probably a result of bad spam in the first place. I've
found how to turn off NDRs but that's not a good thing to do in the real
world. I'd just like to get rid of undeliverable NDRs to outside
domains quicker.

Problem 2
I have users created in separate containers. Each container holds users
for a email only internet domain. Ie... I have a container called
domain.com and in there are users for that domain. So the question is
how do these users log into OWA. I can't seem find the right login for
the user.  I've tried;

SMTP address
Username
domain\username
domain\container\username

Nothing seems to work. Uses not in a container log in just fine.

Thanks
Jim
