I just did what you said you did and it worked fine. This would be the first time I've heard of what you're describing. Are you sure the files weren't moved? The mtadata directory remains on the old drive, but it should be empty and an mtadata is created on the new drive with the files in it.

I installed a new disk and moved the information store using perwiz. No problems. The System partition is 2GB and i have freed up about 200mb giving me a total of 478mb. However, on a daily basis at the moment i have the MTA stopping itself due to disk space concerns. I'm also getting an alert in Event viewer warning me of space issues on the C: I don't understand this as i have freed up more than was there before i took over. I go to move the MTA from its current location (C:\exchsrvr) using perwiz its suggest i leave it on c: ?
