I would not change as you would have to change your disaster recovery procedures, retrain your staff on a new piece of software and its little quirks, along with still having to support the old one as long as your tape retention times are. Also the possibility of the new software interacting with other software that causes headaches. To change just to change and save a few bucks in the short term would make me think twice.
