I hope to reduce the time it takes to do the initial backup which is currently done overnight. I can then back that up to tape for offsite storage during the day with no impact on network performance. Also, I plan to do a weekly full and daily incrementals to disk but I will only need to copy the full to tape once a week thereby using less tape. Thanks!
