Moving mailboxes to another server is a good idea, often used to shake off
possible corruption.

Subject: fixing 1018 error question

I want to run isinteg and eseutil on my current production exchange 5.5
server to fix 1018 errors (I know that there could be data loss...), however
what I have planned to do is to move all of the mailboxes over to a new
server before I work on the current server to ensure that everyone can
continue using email if the current one goes down during the repair.

If I move the mailboxes (hence all data is now on another server) will the
isinteg and eseutil still work on the first server, or will I have just
moved the corruption from one server to the other. I was under the
impression that 1018 corruption was probably a hardware issue, so I think
it should still work....

Any thoughts???

Ps. I promise to "do this" soon and quit asking questions about it, however
it is my first big Exchange project, and I want to make sure I do it right!

Thank you.

April
