Hello,
I am having some trouble sending email to domains that do not list an MX
record. The email messages sit in the SMTP queue, when I right click
properties for a particular queue it states at the bottom "Unable to
bind to the destination server in DNS."

When I do an nslookup, setting type=mx, it does return an mail server.
Let's take ici.net as an example:

> nslookup
> set type=mx
> ici.net
Server:  venus.inside.kbhr.com
Address:  10.66.10.44

ici.net
        primary name server = kirk.ici.net
        responsible mail addr = dns.ici.net
        serial  = 2004042101
        refresh = 10800 (3 hours)
        retry   = 3600 (1 hour)
        expire  = 604800 (7 days)
        default TTL = 86400 (1 day)

A colleague has indicated tome mail should still get delivered even
without an MX record and the recipient indicates he does in fact receive
email from other outside sources.

Is there some setting on my Exchange 2000 Enterprise (Windows 2000) box
I need to change to get this resolved?

Mail to domains with MX records is flowing out normally.

Thanks for your insights.
