We are in the process of migrating to a new forest and thus a new Exchange organization and I need some pointers. The complete answers are beyond the scope of help to expect from this list but if someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
Currently on Windows 2000/Exchange 2000 Migrating to Windows 2003/Exchange 2003 1. To move mailboxes between the organization I am planning to use the Migration Wizard. This does not delete the mailbox in the old organization so I will need to go back and delete it. Is there any way to get the clients to reconfigure themselves similar to what happens when you simply move a mailbox to a different server in the same organization? 2. Is there any way to share the GAL between the two organizations so when my mailbox gets moved from OrgA to OrgB the users in OrgA can still use the GAL to email me.
