Consider using ADMT to migrate your users before MigWizing the mailboxes. Please take a look at: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/exchange/2003/library/messsyst.mspx and http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/exchange/2003/library/depguide.mspx

Easier to do this via a mail hub somewhere up stream rather than messing with connectors and custom recipients. Re updating client profiles. Microsoft ExProfRe (Exchange Profile Redirector Tool, formerly known as ClprFlpr) might help here. It can re configure MAPI profiles following an inter-org move. You should also read up on the /M mode (clone) of mailmig.exe which helps here a little. Re sharing the GAL: it's good old fashioned directory synch you'll need to use here. Either rolling your own with imports/exports, or using something slightly more intelligent such as some of the LDAP dir synch tools available (MIIS, SimpleSynch, Imanami, and of course HP's LDSU). The complexity of the solution is directly proportional to the transparency of the interoperability that you want to achieve. The complete answers are beyond the scope of help to expect from this list but if someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Currently on Windows 2000/Exchange 2000 Migrating to Windows 2003/Exchange 2003 1. To move mailboxes between the organization I am planning to use the Migration Wizard. This does not delete the mailbox in the old organization so I will need to go back and delete it. Is there any way to get the clients to reconfigure themselves similar to what happens when you simply move a mailbox to a different server in the same organization? 2. Is there any way to share the GAL between the two organizations so when my mailbox gets moved from OrgA to OrgB the users in OrgA can still use the GAL to email me.
